Donkeys and the UK

Monday: it's a holiday for the Queen's funeral in the North where we are heading today to County Fermanagh.

At 9:30 we went for a 40 minute walk up the hill with her neighbor and her neighbor's 15 year old dog and I communed with the donkeys across the street (and gave them apple slices from the compost).

The dark brown one is my favorite.  She came to me to say hi and get pet (either that or to beg for food).

We drove to Lisnaskea where her mother lives. Mary's car changed to show miles per hour, not kilometers, and I received a text from T-Mobile welcoming me to the U.K.

The town was all closed for the Queen's funeral and the main street looked appropriately grim.

At Maureen's (Mary's mother) charming house I met her sister Geraldine and their affectionate dog, Spot, and we watched a little of the funeral.

While we talked I discovered a hole in a molar! I started dreading Mondays (when my phone broke and last Monday when I thought money was stolen from my bag in the hotel in Dingle). But finally, after a week! I found the money. So next I will look for a dentist although there is no pain.
