Autumn Clifden without a car

The Abbeyglen's owner Brian goes all out to make his guests feel welcome! Last night I had the good luck to have Teresa and Michael from Galway sit at the champagne social before dinner with me.

Brian regales us with a humorous story of Abbeyglen's history

Michael and Teresa and me (not dressed for the occasion)

Before long, they were joined by Michael's niece Bonnie and her husband and another couple. Teresa invited me to join them for dinner and then I sat with them for music performed by guests and Brian until after 11:00. It was really fun!

Saturday: I am very limited in what I can do today even if the forecast of little rain holds out (but 100% on Sunday) because there are no tours run from Clifden, especially after September, and there are few public buses (I found one going to Kylemore Abbey but none returning)! I almost rented a bike but Sky Road has no shoulder for pedestrians or bicyclists and scares me. I will have to be content with few options! Definitely it would be great to have a car here.
