Day 4, long hike

 Day 4

Today was mostly sunny. We first went by boat to Balmaha. We visited ancient burial site of the island Inchcailloch (island of old women). Two middle-aged German women accompanied us.

There was a very pretty beach.
We ate lunch at the visitors center and then went on to Cashel Hill which had amazing views even to those of us who didn't take the steeper trail. We could see the Isle of Arran, the Highland Mountains  and the island that had wallabees brought from Australia.

We had some great views over the loch!

I'm tired! My Fitbit says 19,000 steps! It helped to have two hiking poles loaned by Pauline instead of my one.

Sad song about Loch Lomond:

    1. We are pretty far from the ocean but the lake (Loch Lomond) smells good!
