Mind your head
“Seachain do cheann - Mind your head” - is written on the warning signs on many busses in Ireland.
Maybe the answer to how best to travel at my age is to go with a small group, or to be able to rent a car...or to travel for longer, like a year, by public transport!
I am trying to mind my head since no one else is but at times I feel bereft and lonely and other times I feel so very lucky to be able to do this traveling, finally taking this trip of a lifetime, both in terms of my health and my finances.

Today I spent almost the whole day in buses and I just want to be on foot! 9-10 am bus to Galway; 11-1:30 bus to Limerick; 2:30-5:30 bus to Waterford. I did have almost an hour in Limerick; I got excited when I saw the Frank McCourt Museum only to learn it has been closed for 3 years. So I went to the Art Museum!

You've done so much and more to go and see! It's a great trip and all the emotions are part of it.
